Following the information that Lance Reddick died at age 60 on March 17, Hollywood is remembering the actor who starred in favorites together with “The Wire,” “John Wick,” “Bosch” and lots of extra.
“The Wire” actor Wendell Pierce wrote in honor of his good friend, “A person of nice power and charm. As proficient a musician as he was an actor. The epitome of sophistication. An sudden surprising sharp painful grief for our creative household. An unimaginable struggling for his private household and family members. Godspeed my good friend. You made your mark right here. RIP.”
Isiah Whitlock Jr. expressed his grief and wrote “Shocked and saddened by the information that Lance Reddick has handed away. Really heartbreaking. R.I.P. My good friend. You may be missed.”
Director James Gunn paid tribute to Reddick noting that the actor was “an extremely good man and extremely proficient actor,” and sends his condolences to “all his household, associates and collaborators.”
Questlove shared an Instagram put up on Twitter, writing “I can’t take it no extra.”
Patton Oswalt paid homage to the actor, tweeting “Unacceptable. Loss of life, I would like your badge and scythe on my desk at 9am tomorrow.”
Ben Stiller reacts and displays on Reddick’s time with Stiller’s late mom, Anne Meara, within the play “Afterplay,” writing “Lance Reddick was an lovely and compelling actor,” including “He was beautiful in that and all he did.”
